Roles, classic resources, armor types and race options for the nine classes.
Roles and spec names follow Classic; Forever abilities, talents, and balance may change before release.
Role
- Warrior
Melee physical class; tanks or deals damage. - Paladin
Plate class that can heal, tank or deal melee damage. - Hunter
Ranged physical class that fights alongside a pet. - Rogue
Melee damage class built on stealth, combo points and crowd control. - Priest
Cloth caster that heals or deals shadow damage. - Shaman
Mail class built around totems; heals, melees or casts. - Mage
Cloth ranged caster with crowd control and group utility. - Warlock
Cloth ranged caster that summons demons. - Druid
Leather shapeshifter that can fill all four roles.
Paladin
Uses mana for blessings, seals and heals, and can spec into healing, tanking or melee damage. Forever adds the Undead Paladin.
