PvP Progression: Honor, Rank Points and Seasons
Checked: 2026-10-07 · International official news

Honor buys gear, weekly-capped Rank Points unlock rewards, and seasonal tasks include three Legacy points.
Published October 7 at 17:00 UTC. PvP progression has two parts: Honor, a currency, and Rank Points, which advance the original PvP ranks toward High Warlord or Grand Marshal. Ranks have a weekly cap.
Battlegrounds and relevant PvP quests award both; defeating players also awards Honor. Highlighted battlegrounds during their holiday weeks award more. Blizzard evened out Honor gains so Alterac Valley is not the only efficient choice.
Honor buys a blue set and an epic set. Each epic piece upgrades the blue piece with an Emboldened Seal, which requires a minimum rank. New and reworked items fill gaps for specializations; Shaman, for example, get healer, melee and caster sets.
Reward ranks: 1 tabard, 2 PvP trinket, 3 cloaks, 4 necklace, 5 combat potions, 6 tabard, 7 battle standard, 8 epic bracer and belt tokens, 9 boots token, 10 gloves token, 11 mounts, 12 legs and shoulders tokens, 13 chest and helm tokens, 14 epic weapons. The Player vs. Player tab of the character pane (C) shows your rank, Rank Points and available rewards.
Each season adds a journey of weekly tasks that award Honor and Rank Points. Three tasks per season also award a Legacy point and stay available in later seasons. The article gives no season dates, weekly cap values or Honor prices; the October 1 Beta notes list separate Beta Honor changes.
