Skyborne Visuals: Revised HD Druid Forms and SD Models in Early 2027
Checked: 2026-10-07 · International official news
Blizzard is refining HD Skyborne Druid forms and developing Standard Definition Skyborne characters.
Published October 7 at 21:00 UTC. Blizzard says some visual ideas explored during development did not reach the consistency it wants for Forever and will be updated.
The first example revisits the HD Skyborne Druid forms: less softness, more detailed fur textures and adjusted color saturation, so the forms sit better beside other creatures.
The SD/HD character toggle originally focused on the original races. After feedback that HD Skyborne look jarring beside SD models and the world, Standard Definition Skyborne characters, including SD Druid forms, are in development for early 2027. The article shows an early work-in-progress image and promises more details closer to release.
