Role
Warrior
Melee physical class; tanks or deals damage.
Paladin
Plate class that can heal, tank or deal melee damage.
Hunter
Ranged physical class that fights alongside a pet.
Rogue
Melee damage class built on stealth, combo points and crowd control.
Priest
Cloth caster that heals or deals shadow damage.
Shaman
Mail class built around totems; heals, melees or casts.
Mage
Cloth ranged caster with crowd control and group utility.
Warlock
Cloth ranged caster that summons demons.
Druid
Leather shapeshifter that can fill all four roles.
Warlock
Fights with damage-over-time spells and a demon pet, and provides soulstones and summoning. Forever adds the Troll Warlock.
